At Flame Quest, our candles are more than just a source of light or smell; they are gateways to other worlds! Founded by a nerdy lifelong candle enthusiast, our journey began with a closet full of every brand and scent imaginable. After my wife and I got married, I discovered that she preferred scents that simply smelled “wonderful”—mostly those reminiscent of colognes or perfumes. In contrast, I realized that I was drawn to candles that provided an experience—ones that transported me to another place.

Over time, I began lighting the candles I enjoyed during my rare moments of free time. And when I do have free time, it’s always something nerdy! One evening, while playing an MMO, I lit one of my favorite graveyard-themed candles. As I explored a graveyard in the game, I was struck by how much the scent enhanced my immersion, adding an entirely new sensory dimension to my experience. That’s when it clicked—I wanted scents that could bring my favorite fictional worlds to life, whether through a D&D campaign, a game of MTG, a video game, or the latest episode of an anime.
